Overview:
Genesis Digital is a highly profitable, privately funded SaaS based marketing and sales automation platform provider. Currently, the company is looking for a talented Data Analyst to join the accounting team.
As a Data Analyst reporting to the Director of Business Analytics, you will play a key role in driving data-driven insights and supporting strategic decision-making within the organization. The primary focus will be on deep diving into areas such as new customer acquisition, customer churn, and operational optimization. The ideal candidate will have experience with SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools like Tableau and/or PowerBI. Knowledge of programming languages such as R and/or Python, is a plus.
For this role we are currently looking for someone based in the US in one of the following states: California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, Oregon, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia and Washington.
Duties and Responsibilities:
General Responsibilities:
- Extract comprehensive insights in order to help drive customer acquisition, reduce churn, and improve overall operational efficiencies,
- Proficient in comprehending and creating complex SQL queries for both ad-hoc analyses and dashboard utilization.
- Possess skills in data visualization using Tableau/PowerBI, creating dashboards that contribute to informed business decisions, offer recommendations, and assess business performance.
- Prepare and present findings in a succinct manner to business stakeholders, including executive management.
- Provide support for ad hoc business studies and reporting, contributing insights to segmentation, territory management, and initiative reporting. Perform other duties as specified.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics).
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience with SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- 1-2 years of experience with Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- 1-2 years of experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and/or PowerBI.
- Nice to have: Knowledge of programming languages (R and/or Python) and A/B testing.
